Description

The track splits here, one goes up to the hut, another goes to the glacier. It is irresistible to take a closer look to the glacier called Turtmanngletscher before we ascend the mountain to the hut. We're on the altitude of the lake (2174 m, 7133 ft) and there is still a nice 350 meters waiting for us. As beautiful as always. This could be a good cover for Michael Crichton latest techno-thriller, "State of Fear".

You have captured this Glacier and it's features very well, such as the u shape erosion and the scree. Good luck at the summit.

Another beautiful mountain capture. I wonder how many low-landers realize the difficulty of climbing 350 meters up. It isn't the meters, its the "up" part. Glad a mountain man like Jan-Carel can take us to the highlands.

WOW!!! Getting a crick in my neck from looking up at that glacier. But boy is it worth it. Never would've dreamt I'd be this close to one. (So to speak that is.) Thank you ever so much for taking us with you. It's absolutely lovely up here.
