Description

While I join Wim on the bench my attention is attracted by the icefall. The ice-sheet of the Turtmanngletscher with all those crevices breaks apart on this steep step, but unfortunately I don't see red dots walking here. The width of the picture covers about 1 km (0.6 mile) so every pixel on your screen is in reality about 1 meter (3 feet) big. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 100 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

I'm glad there is no red dot walking near the ice break. I like the blue sky with a soft touch of clouds over the ice. Beautiful. Aloha

So powerful !!!! I love this photography and this POV on the glacier ! Moi me manque !!!! Je t'embrasse. Nathalie

Can you read huntingtags on the backs of explorers at this distance? Just wondering about the proverbial 1 meter resolutions from synchronous orbit and stories about reading license tags in front of embassies in photos taken from orbit. Now we were at ice.

GOOD LORD, THIS THING IS HUGE!!!!! I really LOVE this. When you told us the size ratio compaired to our pixel ratio... I think that's when I finally realized how big this glacier really is. Holy Crap!!!! So what would the 'red dots' indicate? Would that be people?

Wow!!! That's magnificent!!!! LOVE this perspective!!!! really shows you just how HUGE this ice falls is!!! and it really makes for a powerful image! It's breathtaking! i love how the clouds are hovering right over the falls!! perhaps they want to go sledding too!!! :) exellent clarity and exposure looks good! the whites are very bright but they don't look overexposed. this looks great in color, but it's one of those images i would LOVE to see in b/w!!! excellent shooting! And you know, i forgot to tell you that this image also makes me see just how bumpy of a ride we will have if we go sledding on this falls!!! But i'm not scared!!! now who will join me???? :)
