Description

Hi there!!! First I only wanna modell a new ship, the taurus, but I thought without background it looks a bit poor and so, I decided to make this one. O.K., the buildings are not so full with detail but for a testscene I think it`s good enough. Textures are made with PhotoShop complete scene was made with C4D 6 and rendered with C4D 7.2 (again thanX to CoCo, I think one day I kill his nerves...lol) I hope ya like it, all comments are welcome and thanX for taking the time to view. ~{o;)

sdaniels,I confess. So that this is only a testscene for the ship and I had the images from Episode II on my desk I thought: this is simple, take the idea for the background, LOL. ThanX for the comment. ~{o;)

Hi mate, very good scene & ship. The only thing I would change is the texture on the ship I think the patchwork looks too strong needs toning down a bit, thats just my opinion though. Wish I could spend more time on C4D. How long did this image take you ? Is C4D 7 faster / better for rendering ? Thanks :-)

Hi Guido - You know me to be a big fan of Sci-Fi, so for me - this works BIG TIME! I love the design for the ship, and there's a great feel for distance and perspective. For a 'test', ha - I should be so fortunate!

Nice work fake! I agree with shamus on the texture for the ship and also try adding some transparency to the water to give it some depth.

hi shamus4D! Well, the most work I spend by modelling the ship (about one hour), the rest was done in 30 minutes or so. And yes the C4D R7 renderengine is stunning, its faster and the quality is excellent. gdouble, I dont agree with you about the transparency, look at the cameraangle and the ambient-light. ThanX to all for the comments! ~{o;)
