Description


It's time to go return. While walking back the huge lateral moraine of the glacier (once much bigger) attracts my attention. Pyramids of rocks and pebbles show their teeth, created by erosion that washed away the sandy dust in between. It's remarkable to see the yellowish color of this stuff, the darker rock on the background and les Diablons (as you have seen in Turtmannh

I never knew there was termonology for glaciers, but it makes sense. If waterfalls have classifications, why not glaciers? Not only has this been a beatiful series to see, but so informative too. Thanks for sharing all of this.

Each peak a different color :-) Beautiful shot, I remember learning about morains in an Earth Science course, hopefully I will have time to take some Geology courses. Beautiful capture as usual!
