Description

Time to conclude this series! Incredible to see I did not bore the most of you with up to 23 postings of this valley! Thank you so much for your encouraging comments! Several of you mentioned National Geographic. Hmmm, I'll take that in consideration! You have seen the muddy plain before but it's a few hours later and the sun adds sparkling reflections on the slowly streaming water. I enjoy the soft sounds of the rippling water and shooting pictures here is a good excuse to stretch the time being here a little longer. After shooting the pictures here it's time to descend to the car. Tomorrow a new challenge is waiting for us! Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 100 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comment

Great picture J.C.! It reminds me of Zeeland(in the Netherlands). That place lies at sea-level, as you know, and this plain at 1,5 km above it. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's series. Have a good day, J.C.!

Your description really conjures up the magic of this place. I would love to know how many hours it takes to do this hike, what time do you start and do you get special weather reports? I got stuck on a mountain in Bavaria many years ago, the weather suddenly turned nasty, the cable car had stopped running and we were luckily offered overnight shelter in the restaurant along with other people who were stranded!

Wonderful reflections in the water, looks very fresh like crystals!! The sounds of water can be good for relaxing, I know it from norway (with thousands of waterfalls...)

The digital form and photography was hostile to the sparkle. Fortunately the wave patterns on the muddy ice were less chaotic. "Do you realize," that historic preface now prempts "do you understand."
