Description

OK, after yesterday's bird's view back to the valley, ascending meter after meter! We can see the Fiescher Gletscher bending to the right. Apparently this glacier has shrunk (like the other glaciers we have seen), the bare rock without grass shows the size of the shrinkage. Unfortunately no red dots to give an impression of the sizes. The high top on the background is the Klein Wannenhorn (3707 m, 12612 ft) with a very little glacier in front of it. We are here at approximately 1600 meters (5250 ft). The grey line down there is a part of the track that's made with ... concrete. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 35 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Enjoy seeing a blue sky. My part here in Oregon has been grey and cloudy for a month. Beautiful pic. I think you were a geologist in another life. You must have super sexy legs doing all that hiking LOL.

Even though it just looks grey at first glance, there are so many colors in here! And that blue sky is spectacular. This high, you're above most of the dirt in the atmosphere.
