Description

Contact had been lost at 18:42. 12 hours later the two minisubs were on station and began the external scan of the complex. Wings model. Really a space station, but works OK. This is basically a reworked image I did a few years back. But with my new space station model. thanks for looking. edit - People seem to prefer the green version, so I've changed from blue to green. Hopefully the comments are still valid.

very very cool. it's really hard to achieve realistic underwater scenes, and you've pulled it off marvelously :)

Outerspace, innerspace...it's all about breathing. :) Really cool scene. I love the "depth" of it, no pun intended.

This looks good, a space station as a submerged city /workplace is not as silly as it looks, working underwater is just as dangerours as diffucult as is working in space.

Could still be a space station . . . lost and then found in a rather unexpected place. Great work, Phil! Very well done!!

Aside from the excellent modelling, the underwater effect is extremely realistic and subtly executed. Thank you for taking the time to produce this stunning piece. VOTE

Space stations - undersea bases... sort of the same - one's built to keep the pressure in, the others built to keep the pressure out ;) Damn nice work - like the contrast and the murk in the image. Good stuff :)

Brilliant example of your work, Phil, particularly like the use of the noise filter to create the underwater murkiness. Certainly on a higher level than 'Explorations', 'Dolphins' and 'Vanguard'. Super picture. This would definitely have got my vote over AS in a Challenge Contest a year or two ago!!
