Description

After ascending a part I have a break, not only to breathe but also to enjoy the vista. The clouds keep changing and I am not sure what they will do. Looking down you can see the Simplonpass (1997 m, 6552 ft) with the Hospiz (large building). The road continues downward to the left (not the track that goes up there), and it will pass the border with Italy southward there. There's still a long way to go, so let's carry on! Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 35 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Hey! Whole countries are in the vista! I just found out Ramseier is a Swiss name. Someone who drove the truck to get my first engine and whose car i showed how to install a stick shift in instead of a broken automatic. a body builder in Switzerland.

Oh good lord that's an awful long way down still. I've got to keep my eyes on that loose gravel. My luck, I'll slide my way down on my backside if I'm not careful. Well, atleast I know you're here with those big strong shoulders of yours. LOL (All right... enough funning around.) This is soooooo pretty up here. You don't get this much detail on regular guided tours, that's for sure. Thank You Jan-Carel. .. PS .. someone mentioned you don't like spiders. Is that true?

So long as you respect the mountains they will respect you. I like to see houses or people in excellent shots like this; you really get a feel of the scene scale. Keep up the fine work!

Seeing those tiny little buildings off in the distance really gives a great sense of scale to the surrounding mountains. Thanks Jan, beautiful photography as always!
