Description

This version of Franz Peter Schubert was done about 10 years after the pen-n-ink version I posted a couple of months ago. This version was done in 1993 as another school project while I was attending the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, USA. This time the object was to recreate, or create, CD liner artwork. The original was patterned after the Deutche Grammaphone style of their classical music CDs. Afterward, I stripped away the CD elements, made the illustration more like a portrait, and found his signature which I scanned from a piece of his music. The program I used was Aldus Freehand. Yes, Aldus, before Macromedia bought it. And now that it was bought by Adobe, the program is to be done away with...too bad, I have always thought it was easier to use than Illustrator....
