Nice capture of this rural scene. What brings the image out of the ordinary is the hoar frost lingering on the north-facing slopes, and the way you featured it in sharper focus. Also placing the eye-leading stone wall in middle distance is a great touch. -- Dick

Beautiful landscape indeed. But the thing that really does it for me, apart from the frost, is that stone wall. I just love those! Have a wonderful day R. #:O)

Yes indeed, this is a very special view ! With a unusual POV ! Is this wall a roman wall ?

A little too icy for a picnic, wouldn't you say? But it is a great view!

Hiking in nature is not about heights etc., but about experience, feeling, to be there and enjoy life as it comes on your track! Wonderful capture, seems to me there's a similar inversion as in Anthony's pictures showing the tops of the mountains back there clearly! Gorgeous work, Rozanne! :)

Its great the way the frost stays longer in the shadow. Lovely view & well composed shot. Is that Skiddaw in the distance I wonder?

Nice shot, Rozanne, but I thought you were in the Lake District, not in the 'Bluegrass' state of Kentucky ;o) Nice job getting the cloud to be so obliging. Regards, John.

Its not the heights, but the hikes. My hardest hikes were in the concrete city jungle where I would get lost. I'd rather be where you are now, safer. Beautiful view. Aloha

you will miss this in July/August when you will swelter in the Spanish summer!

A spanish sentence: "Cuando el grajo vuela bajo hace un frio del carajo" Obviously this don't have translation. Very nice and dificult photo of the haze in the botton of the valley.
