Description

...impression of a morning in (very) early spring, where the frost has taken power overnight, leaving the grass slightly covered with frost. This is a "remake" of a scene, I rendered in some time ago in Vue 4, where the grass cover was made with "layered polygon terrains". I wanted to see what ecosystems and global illumination etc. could do, so I rebuilt it in Vue 5 Infinite. The usual toolbox: Vue 5 Infinite, Onyxtree 6, Batam3D "Grass 7" and Photoshop CS for minor postwork. All objects and texures are my design. 2 ecosystems, some 800 mio. polys, rendered in 4 hrs. in Broadcast with GI. Hope you like this, comments always welcome and appreciated. Have a nice weekend - Lars

Very nice render. I have just started to dabble with Vue 5 Easel so I really love to see what others are doing with Vue. Love the image - only thing missing is a couple of deer off in distance and it makes me feel right at home...

MY GOD THIS IS AWESOME! It leaves me speechless. The transition from the shaded canopy of trees to the open field is remarkable. Outstanding work. This should really serve as an example to all VUE users on how to pay attention to detail. VOTE

"I wanted to see what ecosystems and global illumination etc. could do..." It's not only the tools of the prog that make a great render, it's the person at the helm of those tools, and very few handle them as well as you do, Lars! Simply gorgeous work of art!

Wonderful effect! Very nicely done. I've been in woods like those in the early morning and you've really captured it well.
