I would be hanging a tire swing from that big ol' tree!!! Maybe even building a tree house up in it!! Beautiful capture Troy! The lighting is just right in this view!

The house looks gray with age in the color filled surroundings that atill thrive. You can tell its fate at a glance. Excellent series.

Lovely capture of this house! It's fantastic to see those single houses not in cities or towns but just all alone in a landscape! Gorgeous work, Troy! :)

Great shot of "This Old House", as the song goes. It's a shame that there is never a history of these old houses printed by the door. Thanks for sharing, Have a nice Sunday.

that would be perfect for me. I grew up in a very small house like this except ours was smaller. it was a dump but it was home.now it is just a memory after being burnt to kill the termites. excellent capture of this farm house

i have to wonder if the owners of these places would let you look around w/ a metal detector. Another thing: looking at local public property records could yield alot of info as well as looking at old newspapers and phone books etc.

These photos are so excellent. I envy your subjects... .. in this part of the country every former shack is now a millionaire's remodel job, it seems. I will always love your subject matter, wish that we had the opportunity.
