Description

I gave the title so because I was sitting thinking what on earth could this represent? Apart from a very lucky find for me having a bee flying around the very flower I was photographing. I thought of what the bee does, the flower relies on the bee and wind and other natural elements to pollinate it. And thinking deeper there are so many more things that our natural beings rely on and co-exist for life. It's quite amazing. Okay so maybe I'm feeling nostalgic today, who knows. I've entered the SA Survivor, let's see if I get short listed. Tx to all comments on my two butterfly shots. And especially to Jinet for teaching me something new that I can do. I'm on Holiday until next Tuesday, two public holidays and two days leave. So I'll have lots of catching up to do :}

Nice photo, nice composition, very suitable blurred background thanks to the reduced depth of field in such a close-up photo. A touch of creativity in the framing. Very nice result. It is always a pleasure if I can teach something to someone. It is always a good deal and I still learn a lot of things from others !

Beautiful capture !!! Superb work here !! :) What thjis bees is doing is cheating !! He's making a hole through the petals to get to the nectar. So he's actually taking the nectar without touching the pollen. So much for the mutual benefit LOL ;) Bees and bumblebees do this when the flower is to narrow for them to get inside :)

I think this little guy is confused about which part of the flower he should be collecting the pollen from! I wonder if this one is mentally-challenged? I mean every type of similar lifeform can't the same level of development. Nature just doesn't work that way! Anyway, your work is absolutely marvelous here Vera! Have a magnificent day my friend!
