Description

This shot was taken when I was over in England (London to be exact) a few years back. Unfortunately, I shot in so many different cemeteries that I'm not sure which on this lovely statue was in. The date on the marker was from the mid 1800's. You have to love the Victorian period's grand grave stone. The workmanship on them is phenomenal. Image title was taken from the opening track to the Temple of the Dog cd (which I was listening to earlier the day I shot this)... Somehow seemed to fit the picture. Shot using my Pentax K-1000, with a 70-200mm telephoto lens (this was back when it actually worked correctly), on Illford ISO 400 XP 2 film. Negative was scanned and the standard Photoshop levels and dodge and burn applied. Comments and crits are welcome, as always. Thanks in advance for stopping by and having a look. Also, thanks to everyone for all of the kind comments on my previous posts... I might not have time to respond to everyone, but they most certainly are appreciated.

Nice dramtic shot; the lighting is perfect. The angel looks like it's chained in ivy.

Nicely done. The shot has a very muted feel to it, which is appropriate for the subject.
