Description

Ultrafractal 4.02 This one started out a few weeks ago from a start made by Simon Kane posted at the UF Mail List that I tweaked so far into oblivion that he said I might as well keep it as it was nothing even remotely resembling what he'd made. I'd made a sort of geo-fractal background for these shapes that was pretty cool but I soon thought it was too dark and so started a lighter design. I then got WAY into trying to make clouds with a vibe that resembles the excellent work of Lisa Thallauer(Zemela) and stUFf I'd seen long ago by Sylvie Gallet so I used the Nova(Mandelbrot)+fbm formula and spent days coming up with this backdrop. Thanks, Simon for the inspiring start to this one that gave me the opportunity to explore The Phoenix(Mandelbrot) formula and Orbit Traps combo that allowed me to put these shapes together! Thanks for stopping by - hope y'all brought raincoats! :-) Rick ***(Fine art giclee' prints of most of my work are available in limited edition on archival paper or canvas - e-mail: drahcir3@hotmail.com and get busy filling that empty spot on the wall! Unique, "one-of-a-kind" (edition size = 1) prints are also available*** :-)

I can't have said it better than Maria and Keith. I love nova fbm,and I appreciate the time it took to make this background. Your attention to detail is no joking matter this time, my friend. It's a 4 star painting!

Sylvie Gallet - we're not worthy!!!..lol... I love this for so many reasons...the textures, the attention to little details, its sense of scope...super work.

Oil on canvas by Magritte would have been uglier!!! It's unbelievable we're talking 'bout fractals here!! I'm not the political type of guy, but for once this is a sure vote!!!

As someone who's only just download the demo of UltraFractal, having not touched fractals for years, I find myself one minute zooming on on the Mandelbrot set, and the next looking at this masterpiece - I struggle to even comprehend how the two are related. Absolutely beautiful !!

A magnificent image to be surely admired by everyone ! The grey thundery clouds in the background are wonderful and they set off the rest of the foreground shapes to perfection !
