Description

Several owls have the ability of total silent flight but Barn OwlS fall into a whole separate classification of owl, different from any other type. In this unique family are included the Barn Owl, Grass Owl, Sooty Owl, Bay Owl, and Masked Owl, All of these species are within the family "Scientifically" known as Tytonidae (Pronounced Tie-tawn-e-dee), or "Barn Owls". All other Owls are classified in the family known as Strigidae (Pronounced Strig-e-dee), or "True Owls". Anyway I will be away for a few days so will look forward to catching up with you all soon.. Thanks to all of you who helped with the Kite in flight project and for any comments you care to make on this one

He looks so soft, the feathers look wonderful.I don't know why,but I particularly like the little dot of light in his eye.My own eye keeps going back to it...Now,I'm wondering about the sooty owl.I guess he likes to hang out in chimneys or something, lol.Lovely name he got.Ha ha.Take care,Danny.Hope you have a great holiday.-M :^)

Wonderful photo Danny. Reminds me of a barn owl that I nursed back to health some years ago. He was hit by a car and was nearly dead when I picked him up. A few months later he flew off on his own back into the wild. Tks for this awesome photo. :^)
