Description

The house where J.S. Bach (1685-1750) lived together with his family is now in use as museum. I could have tried to transform this image to get the lines vertical and horizontal but I decided not to mess with this one, with the centuries of this old house looking down on me. Beautiful shot of this historical place. Now we know where he did it! As it is, the slight tilt make this a more interesting image, in my humble opinion.

What a beautiful old house, well, large for a house. But then J.S. was very a sucessful musician. In fact he and his family were so sucessful that, in his time, many of the music schools in various towns were called 'the Bach'. Great picture of this historical place, Jan! How I would love to see it first hand. Thanks for letting us see it here!

Actually I think the asymmetry of the picture adds to the effect :0) Great colours...Very eyecatching :00 Did you tour the museum while you were there?

Magnificent image of the home of a magnificent composer. In my opinion, none better. I am particularly fond of the Brandenburg Concertos. Thank you greatly for bringing him a bit closer.

What a wonderful piece of history. Bach was such a tremendous composer. I named one of my sons Johann - for his Norwegian Grandfather. (He is also a composer now.) HUGS!!!
