Description

On the Bridge WIP (This is not meant to be a marvelous render, by any means! I'm just trying to keep in touch, and not totally disappear while I'm off the 'Net.) Martin, Terella and Prasta together on the bridge of Martin's ship. These are characters from my book, although I haven't posted any of their chapters here. Those of you who read my draft last Summer should be familiar with them. A hint of the relationship between the three is implicit in their posing in this scene.
The ship was made in Hexagon 2, software that DAZ Platinum Club members can get from DAZ for $1.99 till May 31, 2006: RUN! It only costs $30 to get started as a Platinum Club Member, and it's well worth it even without the Hexagon deal. The Mac version is still beta quality, but I was able to get more done in ten hours in it than any previous 3D software I've owned. The characters, from left to right, are named Terella, Martin, and Prasta. Terella body morphs and textures are Aikyu/Aikiyu; she's wearing the dress from Amorah Elven Knight, and Madelyn hair, all from DAZ. Her nail color is from Mari_e17's Funky free nails, available in R'osity free stuff. I used the PW Shaders plugin (at DAZ) on her skin. Martin is wearing David's tunic from DAZ' David Tunic Pack (by Lourdes); his skin is J.A.G. by LuckyRed. This POV doesn't show it well, but he's morphed by DAZ' David Diversified, and then modified to look a little less mean than the one I hit; the icons all look alike to me... His hair is Kozaburo's Wild and Messy (for V3, I think!). Prasta is Yaara by Aery Soul (aka Awful Soul aka As Shanim & Siliphiel) with AS' Liltsure hair and LuckyRed's Kallea Xanay skin, wearing an unfinished dress I "puked up" in Hexagon; oddly, it seems most of my clothes fit Aiko and Stephanie. Well, even V3 clothes don't fit Yaara!!! And Aery Soul's Yaara-fitting clothes just don't fit in my Tales of the Universe. :) The star field was made in Carrara; parts are from an included starting scene.
In my penultimate post, I mentioned my job stress; that situation seems to have blown over, and I am still working for the same attorney. My financial situation is settling down as well, and I've made some progress on getting a fence around my home so I can leave the dogs out while I'm at work--the fence is up, but the dogs can get through it! I'm lining it with chicken wire. Next week, I get to put $75 into my Honda-replacement's fuel tank...

I can see I've missed a lot. I'm sorry to hear of your troubles but happy to hear things are coming together. I also bought the Hexagon 2 for (PC of course). Now if I can ever get it downloaded I'll be happy. My first attempt was 230 mgs downloaded after two days. That's as far as I got before I lost it. sigh I'll try again in a week or two. Good to see you again, I've missed ya! ~hug~

You have no idea how relieved I am to hear about you retaining your job. But then again, maybe you do. grin I remember those guys you have in your render. Very good reading. Nice to see them being brought to life, so to speak.
