Description
They say that this love isn't real,
That we don't really know
That true love takes maturity
And it needs time to grow.
They say that we are way too young
That what I feel for you
Is nothing more than what you feel
When meeting someone new.
But everytime you look at me
When your sweet eyes meet mine
I feel this funny flippy thing
This quivering inside.
I've never felt this way before
This 'thing' I'm going through
My face gets red,I cannot breathe
Just thinking about you.
Is this not love, this thing I feel?
This constant yearn to be
Within your arms,to see your face
And keep your company?
To need to hear you everyday
To ache when we're apart
Will they say this was only love
When I've a broken heart?
It's true that we are very young
And time will have it's say
But does that really matter now
When we have love today?
And so, I think it matters not
What they may say this is
All that I know is that I love
To be in love like this.

......puff puff...99!!!...almost there...;^)
Hey everyone.Just me,once again, trying to bring you something a little different. This is a photo of my 14 year-old Meg,and her new boyfriend,Jimmy. There was something so sweet and tender here, that it inspired me to write these words.I realise they have a juvenile sound to them, but I wanted it to be as if it was coming from a young girl...I hope that feeling comes across and that you enjoyed reading it...Oh,and I must mention that the original uncropped color photo, was taken by my mother-in-law.This is the result of my playing with it.I think it was worth the effort.
As always...TY4L&C!!!You guys are the best!!!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Always,
Marlene :^)

Awww!!! Aint that precious! Meg looks so beautiful and Jimmy couldnt look more serious. Such an outstanding portrait. You should have included a miniature of the original in your notes so that we could have seen what you did too it. Whatever it is that you did....you succeeded. Your editing skills are getting more and more awesome. Love that that its in B&W, makes it look reakly classy. And the high key is also spot on. And my God...you wrote that??? Are you multitalented or what? That is so beautiful! Meg will love this one. Hope you get to have a wonderful weekend!!!! #:O) ....p.s. Whats up with the counting and the puff the magic dragon sounds? #:o/

A couple of lovebirds...sigh to be young and in love...or old and in lust. Jimmy looks quite protective of Meg, and he better be, she's a gem Marlene. I like the PW you gave this one, has a nice soft glow. And I can't say enough about your poem, really captures the mood of this image...something I think anyone who has been in love has felt a time or two...Great work! Aloha!

busi2ness
Surely an ageless capture and lending itself wonderfully to black and white. Pleasing post work.
DJB
Very much a 70's feel to this. The greytones are worked very nicely. All the softness you created in the post effect is well seen. Cherishable memory is what this image shows me. Nicely done Marlene:) Words... Brilliant.

Fantastic work overall Marlene! Your poetry is deeply moving and passionately pure in intent, very beautiful my friend! Your Mom-in-law did a wonderful job of capturing this image (pass that along to her), and your postwork (the b&w treatment) really adds a sense of timelessness to this image, just as this subject should be! Thanks for the splendid thought! Have a magnificent day my friend!
