Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

I know this place, and use to custome it when I was living in Lie/Luik/Luttich. Btw this shot immediatly recall "Lost Highway" from David Lynch. Excellent shot, love the movement blur! Wish you a nice day my friend. G.

Great picture! An early example of the right (!) eye for photography. The picture reminds me of the long voyages I made to France. Have a good day, J.C.!

You can tell that it was shot 20 years ago just by the absence of cars... Now you would see at least a couple of hundreds of them, I guess. This image shows Jacques Brel's 'le Plat Pays' (het Vlakke Land) very well, doesn't it?

A great capture of this road through Belgium! I like all the shades of blue and grey in the sky, as well as the different shades of green in the countryside. I'm amazed this is from an old slide - it scanned really well :)

It is clear to me that even then, you had the photographer's eye -- just look at those lines. Love the pattern of those light poles!

I agree it is good to be a passenger when you have a camera. This slide despite it's age is still super! Look how angry that sky is, together with the great compositioning of the open road. Thank you for sharing this old gem.
