Description

The North American B-25 "Mitchell" is the classic USAAF medium bomber of World War II. This is a later "J" model that sports an inaccurate, but interesting depiction of the "Yellow Rose of Texas" for nose art.

OMG.. love it! I was trying to decide whether it was a B24 or not but decided it wasn't when I saw no turret on the back fuselage and also, it looks alot smaller? What a beautiful plane. Beautiful artwork too! Great shot... thanks

I've seen this plane at the Lone Star Air show in Galveston, TX. She's actually flown over my house.

yayyy the yellow rose of texas.. been listening to your Steve Earle..and copperhead road. hehehe!!! we had the memphis Belle here a few years ago when they filmed the movie.. l love the art on these planes and captured so beautiful.. now off to grandaddys for some moonshine.. hehehe !!! wtg !!!
