Description

I saw a goosey gander in the park one day. He didn't walk he waddled honking as he swayed. I giggled and I smiled he was so cute you see! Up the path and down the brook this goosey followed me! Through the park we wandered then found a shady tree. Sitting there was a girl as pretty as you please Goosey waddled up to her as fast as he could go Honking as he waddled swaying to and fro She said her name was Katie and then I told her mine Then she smiled at Goosey and said this little rhyme "Oh my Goosey Gander I watch as you meander this way that way into my hearts chamber I came upon a lady I tried hard not to stare She and Goosey Gander are quite a funny pair. When she walks he waddles When he honks she sways How I love you Goosey and hope that you will stay!" We sat with little Katie under this shady tree Goosey made her smile filling her heart with glee I stayed for o'er an hour when it was time to leave Goosey was fast asleep inside of Katie's sleeve I looked down at Goosey content in Katie's sleeve I said she must take care of him she has the love he needs She looked up and smiled at me we whispered our good-byes I knew at once that I was right for love was in her eyes As I walked down the path I turned back just once more At once felt a sense of love I'd never felt before Somehow I knew that this was directly from above Somehow I knew God's hand had found another glove I looked towards the heavens returning thanks in kind For showing me once again That love is not so blind!

Awwww this poem is adorable and touching. Where we live we have a family of goose. They cross the road and hold up traffic a few times a day. LOL I adored this. HUGS Maria

My uncle had an attack Goose for a pet once. I don't remember its name now but it had a real attitude problem. I'd never actually known a goose before. It had quite a personality. I made friends with it eventually and it never chased me again. But heaven help any stray dogs or cats that entered their yard unawares. Delightful poem Michele. Hugs from Dave :^)
