Gives a whole new meaning to the concept of a hairbrush. Her hair seems to be as thick with paint as Van Gogh's palette. An excellent portrait.

How long does it take to place the barrettes every day Titta, looks complex ;o) What a funny and wonderful idea with the brushes in the hair ... I love it!

Which artist is this, then? :-) It's hard to judge a portrait without knowing how the person looks in real life, but I have a feeling that this not only looks like you, but has your character impressed into the canvas. Lovely concept, Titta. :-)

This is a self-portrait isn't it Titta? Or at least it looks a lot like you to me :-) A great interpretation of yourself as an artist, with a very thoughtful expression. Very well done hugs :-)

Thank you all so much! There are some questions made, and I try to answer. yes, this is a self-portrait. At Martin and others too: it's not complicated at all to put the brushes like that! :-) WeeLaddie : I should have titled this portrait as Hairbrushes, shouldn'i I? I'm so happy and grateful for your comments! Thank you again! and again! :-)

You captured a certain look of the artist in deep concentration, or maybe it is focus while transferring the image in the mind onto the canvas. The eyes draw me in. I love the brushes in the hair so much. Serves 2 purposes, keeps the brush within easy reach, and keeps her hair out of her face. Great idea! Excellent painting, and beautiful style Titta.

It puts a smile on my face because I can identify so much with this one, feeling lost without my brushes and colors :)))

This is soooo good! The hair, the skin, the eyes...It's all so great. One of the most artistic, yet realistic portraits I've seen in ages!

Oh excellent - not just for the technical skills in giving form [as opposed to shape] to the head, but also for the restrained expressive power of the piece. And for the wry humour - mustn't forget that! This seems wholly authentic, and I believe in her. She has [btw] lovely eyes and a pretty mouth. All-in-all a painting to cherish. Mike
