Hello all! Ok I debated on if I should put this one up or not . But the thing is for a long time I have been wanting to get a shot of downtown Los Angeles . ( 40 minutes south from my home )... Thing is - I don't think downtown LA is the prettist place to shoot -LOL! I think of smog and ugly grey buildings . So when I was shooting the other day I shot this for one reason . It is the view I had from my dorm room in college . Across the street (about 100 feet away ) I met my kids Dad in 1989 and I wanted them to see the place we met. Funny to think my 3 girls wouldnt exist if I hadn't been in that very spot !! Then it dawned on my that I finaly got a Non ugly view/shot of downtown Los Angeles as well that had been on my list of things to shoot!!! Taken at 10 am ( not the best light ) handheld with a Nikon 7900 Pocket cam. I did what I could with it with my postwork and a tad of smudge painting. Didn't know what to put this under flowers and plants or achitecture ?! And so I am putting it up so you could all see the place where I shot the lotuses from ..., ...AND_(( whispers ...Hmm and maybe if I show Mike this he will get all sentimental and buy me that canon Eos 20d SLR cam I am begging him constantly for - even willing to settle for a rebel ... uhm .... lol shhhhh...)))) * please view at full size for best result!! * Thank you for all your time and comments!! It is an absolutely grand view of LA, really quite exceptional with those lilies. LJ and I used to work for the Arco Plaza, located in the twin towers downtown, doing visual and promotional displays for the mall. Once we hung a Chineese dragon 50 ft in the air... and it almost fell. We had a wild time and this brings back those crazy memories. Wonder why we never visited Echo Park - we would have loved that water garden. Sooooooooooo romantic. Fantastic shot. CC

I am impressed that it is as clear as it is. once on a flight from Filipines to LA I was able to see all of the area crystal clear from the plane. quite beautiful when clear. outstanding pov Kimarie and perspective
