Hello all! Ok I debated on if I should put this one up or not . But the thing is for a long time I have been wanting to get a shot of downtown Los Angeles . ( 40 minutes south from my home )... Thing is - I don't think downtown LA is the prettist place to shoot -LOL! I think of smog and ugly grey buildings . So when I was shooting the other day I shot this for one reason . It is the view I had from my dorm room in college . Across the street (about 100 feet away ) I met my kids Dad in 1989 and I wanted them to see the place we met. Funny to think my 3 girls wouldnt exist if I hadn't been in that very spot !! Then it dawned on my that I finaly got a Non ugly view/shot of downtown Los Angeles as well that had been on my list of things to shoot!!! Taken at 10 am ( not the best light ) handheld with a Nikon 7900 Pocket cam. I did what I could with it with my postwork and a tad of smudge painting. Didn't know what to put this under flowers and plants or achitecture ?! And so I am putting it up so you could all see the place where I shot the lotuses from ..., ...AND_(( whispers ...Hmm and maybe if I show Mike this he will get all sentimental and buy me that canon Eos 20d SLR cam I am begging him constantly for - even willing to settle for a rebel ... uhm .... lol shhhhh...)))) * please view at full size for best result!! * Thank you for all your time and comments!! It's maybe not the prettiest place but one of the most prettiest pond I have seen so close to such a big town! Marvellous and silent looking city atmosphere! LOL Bravo!!!

This one has a lot of interesting elements, but its kind of cluttered and I am not sure what to look at. Nice shot, but the other shots you took kind of overpower this one.

The way you shoot and postwork and choice of colours you make anything look wonderful. Especially with a shot of L.A.!! There is hope for human kind! Superb! :)

My parents lived in the LA area for many years & it's not one of my favorite places (though there are some great bookstores & restaurants that make it more tolerable). But you've managed to create a view of it that turns it into something very visually appealing - it would make a great postcard...

This is what I would be looking for in L.A. something peaceful for the senses. No offense, but I can't live in the concrete jungle, I must live in the country away from all that noise. But this is quite a contrast of pleasant realxing flowers, then the city in the background. Very nice compo and colors once again as in all your images. Aloha!
