Description

Hey guys. No post on Friday as I was off sick with a post nasal drip! Damn these sinuses! So I was playing around with the dead/dying roses and thought - Damn these are boring! Let's fix that - so here's one that I made. Multiple layers / Blending / Filters / Effects and erasions... Is that even a word? Hope you all have a fantastic week!!! P.S. Tx to all my "top" guys who commented on the Wild Dog. P.P.S. I've been asked to shoot pics for our local tourist area to place on web basically for free advertising for myself and the area.

Technic? Shot against on overcast afternoon sky and white balance altered afterwards. No studio needed for those who are thinking I couldn't never do that...

Beautiful photo indeed. Looks great against that blown sky. I dont know what that thing in the upper left corner is, probably a petal or something, but i would suggest you got rid of that one. Personally i find it a bit distracting to be honest. Congratulations on the tourist-gig, well deserved. #:o)

very noticable effect created, yes one doesn't require the studio if they know how to manipulate with ISO or exposure. Well done.

Damn that's a nice, highly detailed photograph! Was your post-nasal-drip due to hanging around the flowers though? hehe. Excellent work- awesome photograph, depth of field, macro, postwork, everything!

Vera, I can see at least 4 photographic "rules" you have broken in the creation of this, yet despite these, your image works. In fact, the image works so well I am going to add it to my faves as a reminder to myself of the beauty one can attain in just letting go and trusting the process. Jinet was right, this is one of the most artistic in your gallery and who knows, maybe the beginning of a new level for you. Gorgeous work - you should be very proud!!! +++

Hello Vera :) You were sick! Sorry to hear that honey.. And hopefully that you will be getting your powers back and very soon :) Love that shot.. It is superbe tho.. The overexposed DOF and background made it really a masterpiece.. And your title fit the compo very well... Thank you honey for sharing this piece with us.. and thank you for the comment on cover :) Glad you liked it.. And btw: It took me only 20 mins to manipulate the original shot.. That is with the typography and everything :) More info were posted again from me on the same CD cover page :) Hugssssssssssssssssssssss to veraaaaaaaaaaaaa!! JOE
