Description

Nikon 7900 image. Well I know it is a green caterpillar with eye spots. I am pretty sure it will become a Swallowtail Butterfly. It might be a Zebra Swallowtail caterpillar but I am somewhat confused by the horn on the tail ,however, after doing some on-line research, I find out that some caterpillars molt several times before they spin their cocoon and metamorph into a Butterfly. Supposedly the horn becomes smaller and smaller after each molting untill it is gone. Whatever it may become, it is pretty neat in this stage and reminds me of a cartoon character, lol. I will post one more image of it tomorrow. I hope this pic was worth the click and I thank those who enjoyed the Robber Fly series. Lee

Wonderful presentation! Looks very classy. I have a 7900 and while it's not the best camera in the world, it does fairly well with macros. Nicely done!
