Description

AlooooooooHa! Sunrise is almost full swing, I turn my camera towards the opposite direction down the beach, from my post yesterday. This is the view from almost the center of the beach. I would guesstimate the beach is 3/4 of a mile long, give or take a few hundred yards. The surfers had not arrived yet, and Sharky and I pretty much had the beach and view to ourselves. If you ever come to the Big Island, this beach area is a must see...If you got a good buddy like Sharky that might want to go down there...Once again you have to have a 4 wheel drive truck to get down a very steep and narrow road way..if you can call it that. On one side of the road the mountain, on the other side a shear drop of hundreds of feet to certain death. Amazing photography. Th road you mention reminds me of the ast time I was on Maui, I had this briliant idea that road to Hana was too commercial and overdone, so I decided to drive the west side of the island. I don't think I dared to look up or down most of the way around.
