Description

In the northeast corner of Rainer NP, there's a great viewpoint from which you get a great view of Rainier, and Mt. Adams off to the east, along with all the surrounding mountains and valleys. So of course I take a picture of a little lake instead. I really did like the color of this, though. I hope you do, too. I had the pleasure of having lunch with Steve and Lori today. I can attest that they are just as nice in person as they seem from their comments. :-) After two months of sabbatical, I have to go back to work tomorrow. I can hardly contain my enthusiasm. :~)

This is lovely Dennis. It looks straight out of a fairy story. I am sad your holiday is coming to an end. We have enjoyed it so much. You sound underwhelmed by the thought of getting back in harness. Have fun. hehe

What a beautiful lake and picture. I'm really sorry your sabbatical is over. Too bad you can't do what I did, returned to work after my sabbatical and turned in my resignation the same day. Now I'm on permanent sabbatical and loving it. You have my sympathy.

HaHa- I'm still laughing about the "going back to work" comment!!! :) I hope you aren't too buried! Lori and I very much enjoyed your company too, and that of your gracious wife. We had a wonderful time. This is a gorgeous shot, Dennis. Love the alpine "flavor," and the bueatiful aquamarine color of the lake's surface. I can see why you chose to concentrate on it (tho I'm sure you got a few photos of the vista). Thanks for sharing. Good luck at work!

I've sure enjoyed the pictures from your trek through Cascadia. This is a terrific shot too, and if this was a 3D render I'd advise you to change the lake's color because it's so unreal,LOL.
