Awesome combination Maria! Thanks for the shared views! :) On my flight back from Seatle we flew directly over Mt Adams, I saw a lot of mud on top of that mound, and reminded me a lot of Mt. St. Helens!

Ooooooooh!!! I agree with Lori....priceless capture by air indeed. Ive tried that a few times when ive been on a plane but my windows have always been soooo dirty that there hasnt been worth bring out the cam. Oh but one time i got a clean window....but it was right at the wing. #:o/ This bottom one must have been snatched while the airplane was turning or something. Just awesome! And the top one is also really beautiful. I hope you had a wonderful vacation. #:O)

What a great combination, Maria. I really love the shot from the air. I agree with Andreas; every time I think about taking a picture from a plane the windows are too dirty or I'm over a wing. I'm glad you were able to get a good one.

Both views are awesome, but I think the arial shot gives a better sense of the vast scale. The fact that entire mountains like this are still preserved as national parks and treasures is heartening. I've certainly enjoyed your vacation series - it has been one spectacular image after another. Thank you so much for sharing it.
