Another Kai (short_ribs) collaborative work, this time he picked a very ordinary road side photograph of mine and played with PhotoShop.

About the scenery: This is savannah grass plains and the mountain range borders the Kalahari desert, immediately beyond.

Please comment and tell us of your likes and dislikes.

The scenery and vegetation appears remarkably similar to the parts of Arizona, USA near where I live.

One of few images where phonelines and poles actually look good. Love the tilted presentation. So beyond there is Kalahari? Wow. Its so cool that at this place, one get to know people living in places youve only read about before. #:o) Have a great evening!

----I like the little touches on this one - the tilt - the telephone poles marching towards what I assume to be the desert proper -- the cut in half cloud formation makes the viewer want to travel farther in that direction to see the whole set up ! ( half desert + half clouds = anticipation )...or am I getting carried away here.

Sometimes those power lines can be a handygps as to where you are in the desert. Interesting how the fence line separates the trees from the grass. Excellent shot. Aloha

lol No Andreas, that is NOT Kalahari. That is the Northwest Province of South Africa. I have a few of those in my gallery at home as well. Well done Kai! Thanx for sharing our beautiful country Oom Piet!

Excellent photograph, but IMO this particular photo would look much better with the photo perpendicular to the mat, rather than skewed. I think the artificial angles detract from the natural ones in the shot.

What a beautiful place! Looks so warm and dry (as opposed to miserably humid in MN! - lol) I love the color contrast too. The lines draw your eye back to emphasize the vastness. Thanks for top billing here my friend! You're welcome and sorry it took me so long to get back to my puter!! :0)

Another great collaboration I can see this is a great double act :) I like the presentation here - the skew adds to the image in a way I wouldn't have imagined. You're welcome as regards the comments it is a pleasure to see your images and what will be posted next. :)
