Description

Hello All! Was driving behind my home today and was drawn to all the beautiful clouds in the sky . I saw this cross white cross covered with flowers and knew someone had died there. It brought to mind of the VERY sad news I heard yesterday about Steve Erwin ( The famous Aussie crock hunter ) .. ( you can read about it on MSN he died doing what he loved best) but my heart goes out to his wife and two young children. My teen Annie cried as his animal show was her childhood favorite... never met him personally but his infectious enthusiam and zeal will be hard to ever forget. Just thinking about the loss of Steve's life so heavy on my heart today and tonight- and saw this cross by the road today and clouds so pretty- so thought I would share this with you of where my home next to in Southern California. Taken mid day in very HOT bright conditions. Post worked it and softened it a tad to help draw it out. DId it in pano or tried to ( don't think I have done many pano's on here ...) Taken with my little nikon 7900 pocket cam. Finally get that darn root canal done tomorrow ( dreading it ) so hopefully, my normal routine of things should be back to normal soon here.... *This pano probally won't look too good unless viewed at full size thank you! Thank you for all your time and comments! Love to you all! ((( BIG HUGS)))) ♥ ~Kimmers!

Wow Beautiful landscape!!! Your backyard looks so wonderful, I wish I could say the same about mine, all I could see is a highway and NYC. The sky is beautiful and I love the mountains!!! Sad about Steve Irwin, to think he would get killed by a croc or a snake, but a stingray??? The world will miss him!!! We need more conservationist like him!!! Crikey this is beautiful photography Kimmers!!! Hugsss Frankie ^_^

All I see is my neighbors backyard fence and a Rose of Sharon Tree grin I too heard about Steve the Crock Hunter was shocked...now they are talking about showing it saying it was what he would of wanted...I too feel for his wife and children... Good luck with the root canal...My son had one last week was numb for a couple of hoursgrin then had to take the pain pills...You will be alright I just know it....You climb trees and crawl to take a pic grin I know you will survive a root canal..but I don't like dentist at all....sighs.... Saw the Dr today I have gained weight now weigh a 115lbs where I did weigh a 103 and he did get fustrated with me cuz I had not made an appt to see my Oncologist for chemo I am so torn...eating better just hate to get sick all over again...but enough about me grin This is perfect...wish I had this view.... That is sad. When i went to Santa Fe they took us out to two different places. And along the roads they had these white crosses. So sad at how many. But apparently beside road accidents. The crosses also were memories of when the would carry a coffin and when they laid it down they left a cross to mark the spot. Very touching and sad. This is excellent pano matie. Brilliant work:)

You made Kimarie well present your stereotype in format landscape, not for these small hills, but for these clouds, in the splendid sky which give a great broadth to your photograph. The sampling of the colors is extremely interesting, and I will not count the number of greens present. I am intrigued on the other hand by all these hills enough vasses, and by this funnel which one sees in the last third on the right. It would seem that that is an old career. In this case, it would be possible to explain these hills. SPLENDID STEREOTYPES!!!

Brilliant panorama scene! How wonderful it must be to stay so close to a such wonderful looking area! I love the silent but at the same time also sad looking atmosphere! It's maybe also beacause Steve's sad and tragic accident! Steve the Crock Hunter was or still is also very popular here in Switzerland! Wonderful capture! I love it!!!

What a lovely image, Kim!! The softness works well and the composition is great. A lovely tribute to a good man. Many hearts are heavy all around the world for him and his family. Yours is the loveliest dedication I have seen here on RR for him. Nicely done..... and good luck with that root canal! Ask for a bit of the laughing gas, it helps. (been there, done that) :)

What the heck is claud19 talking about?...Your pic, beautiful as always is more meaningful with the dedication you gave to Steve Erwin. His love for wildlife cost him his life. I can't think of a better way of leaving this earth..doing what you loved. Well miss this man's passions for our animal friends...Thanks Kimmers for this fine dedi to a wonderful person.
