Description

Many thanks for all your comments and advice (Thanks a mil for the post-work tips, Jeff :)) on my previous portrait, "Ecce Homo" -- They were most appreciated :) I modeled the above head in Zbrush on Sunday night. I had one eye on the computer and ZBrush manual, and the other on the TV where they were showing "The Ring", the American version (Personally I prefer the end scene with the TV and Sadako in the Japanese version -- a lot creepier). If you find modeling difficult and if you would rather "sculpt" you models, I would recommend you give the ZBrush demo a try (www.pixologic.com). It's a fantastic package. You will go "WOW!" -- or maybe "Oh, s***!" -- I go through both phases :) Many thanks for viewing this image, I hope you like it. :) Have a great day!

Excellent work, I'd love to see you paint some different materials on this, really bring the Beast to life. And yeah, ZBrush rocks.

Beautiful work! ZBrush really is an incredible program. Its functions for displacement and normal maps are pretty outstanding too. Your sculpted model looks great.

Very good. I would pay a bit more attention to detail around the ears and eyes. The sockets look a little too flat is they are to house an eyeball. Looking good :)

I always wondered what Zbrush was exactly. You make learning a new program look easy. Excellent texturing on this guy!

Oh Sabine, this is a wonderful model!! I know what you mean too. I have just discovered "Brushes" in Hexagon, very similar I think to how ZBrush must work? It is like sculpting!! And I love it!! I have been playing around, but nothing like THIS!! This is awesome!! I can't wait to see what you can create when you are more comfortable with the tool!! This is a killer first model!!

So this is where it started! This is incredible as well, and the texture you used for your next image and the modifications are all outstanding! I still have to admit, I couldn't even get this far with ZBrush even if I spent weeks! LOL Terrific modeling!
