Description
I've made this image to show in detail the peculiar weapons of Nerys.
Avariels do not use metals and do not have forges: they are very afraid of fire because their wings are highly flammable. The majority of their tools are made of glass, because it can be made inside small, closed furnaces without free flames. Avariel glass is strong as steel.
Nerys uses one or two "Enthesuaan" glass swords. The name means "Claw of Light" and it's the most valuable type of blade built in the city of Myrravin.
Avariels seldom use traditional bows, because wing movement interferes with their aim. The "Dempeeromelsuu", or "crossbow for arm", is their typical ranged weapon. Usually they wear only one crossbow, on the left forearm, but skilled warriors like Nerys are trained to use two of them at the same time.
