Description

I was out at my cousin's in the country the other day and lo and behold we looked out and saw these wild turkeys in her backyard! We immediately got the camera out and I have one by himself which I will post later. Got a few more shots while I was with her, but this really did amaze us that these turkeys were in her backyard. Maybe because there is a field behind the back yard, I don't know but it really tickled us to see them and had to share them with you all. I went to see my Doctor and all is well, but my blood pressure is too high now on two meds for that and I finally made an appointment with the Oncologist. I go there on October 31st, Halloween Day. I added a border and frame. All postwork done in PSP 9. All comments are always appreciated. I hope you all have a good weekend. Hugs, Susan~

Goodness Susan, I thought it was thanksgiving, coming early! lol This is a good shot, especially as I would imagine that had the turkeys known you were about, they would not have been "grazing" so peacefully. lol Well done my friend! Steve :o)

I wish we had wild turkeys. We have only wild chickens and they are causing a problem in our garden. Beautiful green colors. Always praying for your good health... Aloha

Great shot of these birds! Its about turkey hunting season so more and more will be out and about. Enjoy them now because they have a sixth sense and the day hunting season opens, they will all disappear! :-) Funny how they know when to hide... LOL I'm glad you are making your appointments. And what better day than Halloween? :-)

Alot of hunters go for these guys every year. Sad because there are so many of them at Krogers, and I prefer the tame birds ANY day! By the time they spend all of that money on ammunition, and all that hunting junk they need, they could probably buy 4 or 5 Butterballs! This is a cool capture. Good thing you got it now. In a month or so they will be in hiding! Hugs...glad you got that little piece of dirty business taken care of. One step at a time, hon. Still praying for you.

So, your shooting Turkeys early? Great shot! I know many complain about gophers, cats, and such in their backyards... But how many get turkeys? How convenient...lol. Might as well have a flock of wild hamburgers stroll by. Ripe for the pluckin. Of course, I couldn't kill one, turkey that is..., I can kill a hamburger in about two bites though. Actually, very glad I don't have to kill anything I want to eat. I've eaten many times my weight, of cows, over the decades and sure hope those cows don't hold it against me someday. Anyway, great photo here Susan and hope all goes well at the doctors on the 31st. Hugs from Dave :^)

Wow what a sight! I have never seen wild turkeys in real life. I have seen a lot of other things, but not turkeys. I hope none of them end up on someone's dining table at Thanksgiving, though. :o) ((((hugs))))

Hahaha... shudders. One of these critters tried to kill me... Was on an interstate doing 70 early in the mornning... and out of the corner of my eye saw something, next bang... or thump... had flew into the side of my truck. a second or two earlier and it would have came through the window... a second or two later, and it would have missed me. Didn't kill it. Hit my breaks and before could stop. It got up and walked into the woods on the other side of the road... Life lesson for me though.

Gobble, gobble, gobble! Fine pastoral capture of the wild fowl! Is the grass really that bright green, or was it postworked to have effect?
