Description

Here is the other lone wandering Turkey alone by himself, while his brothers or sisters were off in pairs. Little did I know, when I uploaded that image it was Thanksgiving Day in Canada. Hope you all had a good one. These guys are sort of pretty in their own way, but if they get rained on, they surely do have a stink smell about them. I much perfer a store bought Butterball myself. All post work done in PSP 9 All comments are always most appreciated. I hope all of you all in Canada had a Happy Thanksgiving. Hugs, Susan~

Nice shot Susan! Don't think I'd eat turkey again, if I had to wash one and pluck all the feathers! lol Well done my friend! Hope you're staying warm and feeling better today. Steve :o)

Great shot, Susan ... we don't have Thanksgiving here in the UK - but he certainly looks like a prime candidate for the table if we did! Take care Mike

Very nice capture. An excellent pose as well and presentation. Wild turkeys are pretty and stately and much more colorful than the ranch raised... but not as plump... :-)

Don't shoot, my feathers aren't plucked yet???? You shoot your turkeys after plucking them first? I think it would be very hard to pluck a turkey while it was alive. I'm sure they don't enjoy being plucked alive either. After being plucked alive, I'm additionally sure they are glad to be shot and put out of their misery and shame. I hear it's easier to pluck them if you boil them a bit first. You don't boil them alive and then pluck them too, do you? Oh... the pain of it all... Ok.. I'm pulling your leg here Susan. As stated before, I don't mind eating one as long as someone else kills and preps it first and I don't see it all. I got a pet yellow chicky when I was a kid. It grew fast and was given to a farmer friend. A few months later we were invited over for chicken dinner. You guessed it. I ate Peepsie. I didn't know it was Peepsie until after dinner. Now you know why I'm the way I am..lol. Hugs and great photo dear Susan. Dave :^)

Another great shot! He sure is a handsome fellow, for a turkey! :o) I'd much prefer a Butterball too, as they taste pretty yummy, and are much easier to handle. Hope you are having a great week. ((((hugs))))

Yah, and they are so STUPID that they will drown in the rain. No one knows how really beautiful they are until they see a real one up close though. Their feathers are like burnished metal. Love this one, hon.

What a cool shot and I am sure it wasn't easy to catch one alone like this :) My experience with these birds is that they are mean creatures ...LOL... they came running after me the last time I saw wild Turkeys !! I didn't want to take their pictures :P Great capture !!~BRAVO~!!
