------------- Incantatrix
In the long battle against Vorhing, in the years between the War of Trsykellias and the War of Arrallon, one individual stood out like no other to hold the line against him. But it was not her faith or holy nature that made her special, but her philosophy of magic. Her name was Isaheara. She had been, at one time, the lover of the famous High Priest of Nike, Balderkani. As we know, it was Balderkani who constructed the divine artifact known as the Lightning Crystal. As such, his research and work in building the device that now protects the world of Arrallon from a second off-world invasion, he drove an unhealable gash between himself and his true love.
Isaheara saw his work as a blasphemy of a different sort, for she did not worship Gods, but the living spirit of the world, the magius field itself. It was her absolute devotion to the care and nurturing of the magius field that drove her away from society and put her at odds with every major figure in magical history. Isaheara was the first of what are now known as Incantatrixes. Where she is now, none know. But there are whispers that she has ascended, joining the ranks of the Gods, and throwing divine power behind her sworn objective to prevent the misuse and overuse of magic.
As defenders of the balance and flow of the magius, the Incantatrix is very much like a sorcerer's version of the Druid. And they should be respected and feared for the same reasons. To abuse the natural world is to invite retribution from druids, a much more organized and public group, understandably. However, simply because the Incantatrixes are few in number does not make them any less dangerous. Their greatest strength, the channeling of magius through all manner of objects, stealing power from wands to increase their own magic or their own health, is known as the synostodweomer. Their spells are attuned to abjuration but will also allow them to steal spells directly from the minds of opposing sorcerers and turn those same magics back on their caster. They despise undead because of the unreleased magius and life energy that should have returned to the world. So that means they will normally be on our side,... so long as you don't abuse magical energy around them. For you chaos mages, I suggest you steer clear at all times.
--- Lord Hercanos Corthelian, Master Demonhunter, oldest surviving agent of The Legacy.

Very cool background and I like the idea of the incantatrix being a druid of magic, or in this case the flux stone core. The dress worked wonderfully with the dags. Well done. :)
