Description

In the far northern volcanic region known as a the Ja'mil Targ, the Dragonlord Sulthon Ni'shaang resides in his brooding Fortress. From Uronthis Kalthul- or 'The Dragons' Claw'- the Red Dragon plans his conquest of Jaiman. He holds most of Wuliris to the east, whilst to the south of the Zor Wastes the armies of the rich Rhakhaan Empire clash with the mercenary forces of Frelik the Usurper. To the south-west the Pale Men- soldiers of the Warlord Lorgalis the White- once again ravage the western reqions of the splintered kingdom of U-Lyshak, whilst the High-Priest of Yarthraak- under the sway of Lorgalis- tightens his grip on the ancient Royal province of Helyssa. Elsewhere, the Priests Arnak- secret servants of the Unlife- forment turmoil and war. Once again, Sulthon finds himself caught between the disorganised forces of Light and the crazed, murderous minions of the Unlife who are intent on the annihilation of all life. As the lands again reverberate to the clash of arms and the screams of the dying..... Modelling done in Imagine For Windows, Landscape and rendering in Bryce 5. Based on the Shadow World Campaign module "Jaiman: Land of Twilight" by Terry Amthor.

Volumetric smoke?....very volcanic indeed...good interesting work....might I recommend playing around a bit with the ambient light colour to bring out some detail in the terrain...seems a bit dark on my screen.

Hi, Bobby mate! Yeah, it is a bit on the dark side- possibly because I'm using a PC??!! On my LCD monitor, with default settings, it doesn't look too bad- if I stand up...? But, you're quite right, I do need to mess about still, with the ambient lighting, and trying to get some form of glow from the lava 'moat'. The should be some illumination from that, as well as the volcano. I did try a volumteric slab for the clouds as well as the volumteric cone for the smoke, but it really pushes the rendering time up having an infinite plane with thickness.... :-(
