Description
A change from my usual postings.
A picture of a busy little astronomer looking for more of those faint fuzzies in Mssr Messier's list of 'THINGS WOT AINT COMETS, N'EST PAS'.
You can see the two telescopes I use, the big 8" is the black one, the little 80mm is the white one mounted on top.
My rinky dinky laptop is where I sit for hours at a time, cables and wires and stuff all over the place.
Not the best picture I ever took, but I thought it would illustrate how I do the pictures that I normally post.

urm - either you did a good job of putting two shots together or you and your twin are scarily alike (and decide to wear the same clothes ;) ) Nice to see where all these cool night sky photos come from :)

Thanks for sharing to you both (LOL!) and how I envy you. My small 4 1/2 inch will fit in sideways in that barrel.

Nice shot; familiar setting. Hope to have my 9.25" SCT up and running by the end of the month.

I do envy your stuff that lets you view those wonders first hand, but not those cold, cold hours! Thank goodness for guys like you who will share the wealth! But keep the weather. LOL! BJ

Thanks for sharing this ... I recall thirty some years ago taking an elective astronomy course from James Van Allen as I was interested, at the time, in celestial navigation. I loved the course but really hated those long frigid nights dedicated to viewing. I'm glad that you have the wherewithal to overcome such minor concerns. Nice work!
