Description

I tried a different approach to how I build my mojo planets with this one. Its been on the boil for months & I finally wanted to render something from it. Ive added some flutter-by`s, although Im not happy with the overall image. Bootom 2 objects look too symmetrical, additional 3 in flight were added to create some sense of depth but it doesnt work that well plus they are too "flat". The waters came out well & the reflections also came off quite well except the hard blue line from the altitude strata. The strata itself is too flat, so I tried breaking it up with some small displaced rocks (Ill do another shot of this later) but in doing so I think I created a massive redo blocks issue hence the 3 days to render this image actual size. 12% Contrast added in post, all else is pure Mojo. A real beauty Woz. Nice clarity and balance. Water is gorgeous. Shame about that line in the water but it does not detract much. The butterflies look too big unless you tell yourself these are giant butterflies, which actually works quite well.

Very impressive!!....The variety of terrain shapes should make for some good shots....the mats look superb!! (nice work in disturbing the strata...pity about the impact it seems to have on render-time as it really does look spot on)....The clear sky works a treat as do the water reflections....You know me Woz...I can't help tinkering with images...a few minutes postwork to improve the Flutter-bys and remove the blue reflected line would be simple.....Excellent work!!

Very nice terrain.I agree with Jeff about the post work (my opinion that every CG output must be postprocessed, anyway)on the line. I think there`s a bit of a problem with the flutter-bys scales - they look to be really giant ones (a couple meters or so).

Thx for the feedback guys (all welcomed). Re - PP, my levl of skills here is a bit restricted something I need to practice & reworking the blue line I saw as a hazardous task for myself trying to get it to look right. If anyone has any tips on how I could have done this please PM me & thanks:-) As for the scale, yes you are all correct they are large. I tried putting them in at lifesize & they looked insignificant so I just enlarged them to the scene. Theres still a lot Im not happy with in this image, but Im a fussy sod :-))). Thanks for the posts.

Nice Woz !! - cool structures and even cooler reflections, but agree with others about 'posting' out horrible line, for me it spoils an otherwise sublime image. Warren - I've sent you 2 e-mail responses about your 'Rhino' query, one to your personal e-mail address which I assume is the same as before and one via Renderosity. Sorry for lateness in responding, internet machine motherboard blew up !! Ang
