Description

...a new test with an "image-mapped" road texture combined with ecosystem work. Vue 5 Infinite, Onyxtree, Bantam 3D "Grass 7", Photoshop CS & me :) Only about 1 hr render in "Broadcast", global ambience with shadow maps. (Because of the extremely high rez conifers I encountered several near-crashes, and Vue was very "reluctant" to render in other than "Preview" mode. So after another reboot and restart :) I decided to go for a Broadcast render in 1600x1200 anyway - but Vue DIDN'T OBJECT! So here it is.) Postwork for minor corrections, framing & signature. Thanks in advance for any comments etc. you may leave, they'll be very much appreciated. Have a nice day - Lars

Thanks for your comments so far. Too bad, I accidently un-checked the ratings option, so the ranking will be poor :) About the road, you can read the comment in my ealier post, where it is explained. There's nothing much to it other than a lot of planning and "pre-work".

I like it but I think there is a problem of scale because of the white painting on the road (problem between road and size of the grass); maybe, without this white line, the problem desappears?

I like this version much better - superb feel to this. I might reduce the scale of the bumps in the road by about half. Superb realism.

Okay now, this is the VUE gallery not the PHOTO gallery! You've obviously gotten confused about which gallery you were in when you posted this. No, just kiddin'; this is an incredible rendering. Great sense of realism.

Nice job, guy. I like the atmosphere. Just the road texture that seems a little bit too big and not enough realistic. If you want, I've got a lot of ground tar ( is that the word in english? )given by an architect.
