Description

As said in my last post "House Warming" , this is that house closest to the lava flow (cropped a lot). The other homes are in just as much danger as this one. The lava had ran parallel to the bottom of the forest line and below all three homes. All three homes are in danger at this time. This Nov. lava series has ended and we are going to the painted church. Aloha and thank you all for viewing

I find this photo very fascinating. Because i had no idea that hawaii...an forest..es (LOL....im really having trouble with my english at the moment arent i?) Oooh ooh...not its FORESTS....right? Not "forestes"...sigh. Anyway...that forest looks like any swedish forest you would come upon. And that was fascinating to see. Yup..thats all i meant to say but instead it turned into this ramble. #:o/

Difficult to think about the lurking danger just behind us when looking at this lush green mountain scene.

Still looks like a great place to watch the lava. Danger or not, some danger I do better than others. Wouldn't want to walk next to lava but don't mind living above a tinderbox with it below... go figure... :-I

I am sorry to see this series end, but it has been a captivating one. Interesting story though the photo by itself is not what I would have chose to close your lava series.

Dear Errol, The thingsthat is SO amazing about this photo is how much the terrain looks like the Texas hill country!!! It could have been taken anywhere north of the Austin - San Antonio line in the Edwards plateau. I'm sure that every plant is a different species, but the LOOK is the same! I'd have never guess this was from Hawaii in a million years!! A trip to the Big Island is one of my top priorities!!!! Super work and a super series!!! Love, Meredith
