Description

Hey :-) Okay I know this is horrible photography but had to share the launch of the space shuttle Discovery. I was so excited about watching that I didn't even think about setting up a tripod so I could take a decent shot. I could kick myself! Anyway shot this from my backyard (hand held if it isn't already obvious). The whole sky turned red before you could see the shuttle rise over the trees, an amazing sight! Thank you for you comments have a terrific Sunday! Wendy

I stand in amazement! You did what? I can not believe you have the launches almost in your backyard and you forget about the tripod, LOL. It stil is a good photo, showing the reflection against the cloud cover and the hills on the horizon. It is good to see you upload on the odd occasion, good luck with the studies.

Howdy neighbor. Better than what I took. (Nada , Zilch). It ended up being a pretty moody and colorful shot after all!

Your shot is better than the one I got Wendy...it was a very pretty launch, wasn't it? At lift-off the whole sky lit up!

It is brilliant, Wendy. I have no tripod. Every single shot on mind is hand held!! Wonderful work. Hugs. Di.

Ohh I wish I could see one launch, all we see here is the reflections from the space staion as it passes overhead. Nice catch.

I'm with the other guys about watching the launch. You've gotten some good shots from your backyard and this one looks like a tongue of fire coming from the clouds, which is exactly what it was!

So this is the one. There is indeed some resemblence with my Misty morning II. Still a nice picture although you seem not to be very glad with it yourself.
