Description

Howdy all you great Rositeers... I hope your Xmas and New Years Eve was a happy one. Mom (Silkylady) and I got a new family member this Xmas. I wanted to call it "Mop" because it looked like one...lol. But Mom decided it would be "Tiny" number three. Both her previous dogs were also called "Tiny" you see. Hence, I get to call it "TNT" (Tiny Number Three). I wanted a photo of Mom holding it but she wasn't feeling very photogenic so I sat in for her. I'm not very photogenic either but by contrast, the mutt will look extra cute...lol. Anyway, we saved the dog from being put to sleep at the animal shelter. He's in very bad shape and malnurished. He was picked up as a stray, matted fir and traumatized. So, Tiny has a brand new home now. My biggest irritation was the shelter insisted on neutering him before we could clean him up. Now we can't treat his skin or bathe him until the stitches heal. In two weeks, after we get him groomed, and mom feels more photogenic, we'll post a second picture set with her and Tiny in Moms gallery (Silkylady) so be sure to drop by to see the change. I was afraid to pick him up for this shot.. he's just skin over bones, light as a feather and I thought I might break him. Admittedly, he's quite photogenic and a bit of a ham in front of a camera. I do believe I see a smile on his kisser. So until next time.. best wishes to all of you super folks here! Dave :^) *************************************************************

Dy-no-mite!! Well, you already know my thoughts and sentiments about the mighty TNT taking the helm at your home, and I think it's a fantastic thing you did for the little guy! Dear Dave, He's just darling - and yes - does have a bit of a mop look - but then so do I most mornings - mine is just blond!!! You are both so sweet to take him into your family and I'm sure he is going to be a wonderful addition. It's a real sadness, but the animal shelters are one place I CAN'T - I could never leave without twenty!!! Breaks my heart!!! I'll be wathing for his "close up, Mister De Mille" in a future Elnor post!!!! Love you and Elnor - hope she is feeling much better!!!! Meredith

Hi Dave a pleasure to see you on "Candid Camera". This brings back many a memory. In my late teens a mutt acquired me "Zonk" as I later named him strolled into my parents kitchen through the back door one afternoon. He was all banged up and looked like hell, and hungry. I fell in love with him on the spot. I fed him, gave him a bath, took him to the Vet., bought him a collar and as life goes he stuck around for some ten years. I've owned many a dog in my life time but good old "Zonk" has a special place in my heart. You did the right thing here ol buddy and I have a gut feeling that TNT (I like the name) will turn out to be a real winner. Happy Yew Year.George

I'm ready for my close up!! Move over Bengy..there's a new dog in town! Center: Well if he's not going to smile than neither am I. We guys have to stick together you know..(thought bubble above Dave's head) wait till they see you all groomed and pretty! (thought bubble above TNT's head) Did he say pretty? Oh geeze, I hope they don't get me one of those prissy poodle cuts...that would be soooooo humilitating. LOL! Sorry couldn't resist...these are great...what a cutie!! I think TNT is a great name dave....a little package of dynomite, he seems to love the camera. Hey who is that guy with the blue eyes? Wow...!! He's a lucky little fella to have such caring souls to look after him. He looks as if he's already wormed his way into your hearts and made himself nice and cozy there. Can't wait to see him after the "barber shop"...
