Description
A heavy early afternoon fog, on an October day high in the Smoky Mountains on the Appalachian Trail. The wind was constant and strong. Although the normal breathtaking view was severely restricted, the dense fog had it's own charm as we hiked up the mountain.
I plan on returning there in early April to photograph springtime in the Smokies.

Splendid and so wild ! The fog had a lot to this POV, it seems to be the end of the land, and the beginning of the heaven. There are also a lot of colors, the ground is red here it seems. It must have been a very good and interesting walk here. Very nice Marshall, I love this atmosphere. Hugs

The atmospherics rock, the mist provides a wonderful mood. The name of the trail seems to be a lot wider than the actual trail itself, that's pretty narrow!
