if any of you are thinking about upgrading your computer to Vista, take a long hard look before you do it.my sound card will not work and Vista will not let a new driver to be installed. I have read the microsoft has made it more difficult to record audio for some stupid reason
do you see the eyes in the boulder? maybe spies for the rest stop?

Excellent shot and fantastic mood. An impressive landscape you've captured here. My opinion: Vista can wait, I don't need at moment!

Every time microsoft makes windows "better" it makes it worse and more of a recourse hog and makes me have to buy a better computer to run this "better" software. I like windows less and less, but everything runs on it so... I'm stuck with it until, if ever, someone comes along with a better operating system. The picture is really fantastic, I like the layered swirley snow texture to the boulder. It almost looks ureal, but it is very real. What a fantastic capture. hugs Maria

Good one... (Always happens with new OS's. Try your cards manufacturers site for Vista Drivers. Unless it's a noname brand with undisclosed chipsets, you should get them. The audio thing is just a rumor and a stupid one at that. Try getting drivers for Linux, then you know what real problems are ;) )

My hat off to you for finding something this time of year to photograph in AZ. But then, this was not in Phoenix or south of there I'm sure. Usually I find something spectacular to shoot when I'm there but this time there wasn't much to see in the scrub. Good shot.
