Description

Following on from our thought-provoking stay in Phnom Penh, we went to Siem Reap, the home of the 8th wonder of the world - the awesome ANGKOR WAT. I know I have posted the Sunrise image before but I thought it made a nice duo with the sunset image. This ancient capital of the Khmer Kingdom is the cultural and spiritual heart of Cambodia. Angkor Wat is a truly awesome place to visit and will remain in my heart for ever.

After getting myself and my stuff together again (Fell off my chair upon seeing that) I'm only able to say: Aaaaahhhh - since I still have to find a way to get my lower jar in the right position again. I'm pretty sure I hurt myself, when it fell on my chest. Perfect - 1st one is the one causing all the chaos here...

This Wat must be something magic to see, and with every light... Your two shots are the perfect illustration. An incredible architecture so rich in details and emotions. and perfectly integrated in the vegetation.

Love the contrast between the silhouetted image and the one bathed in light. I have been fascinated with Angkor Wat for some time, I would love to visit. Beautiful captures, and lucky you for being able to travel there!
