Description

This image was created using Ultra Fractal for an exhibition in the UK. The idea behind this image was to create something that associated fractal mathematics with nature. This image represents the way in which plants use Fibonacci numbers and spirals as they grow and gracefully unfold their leaves, each one spreading out to find enough space for sunlight. Finding particular inspiration from spring growth, I coloured the innermost part of the flower a vivid pink to contrast with the dark green, whereas the white and light green outer areas where chosen to represent the younger growth that has not yet taken on full colour. Thanks for viewing Heather
