Description

The Karoo Thrush (Geelbeklyster) may not be the most colorful bird around but it is a busy body ridding a garden of snails and other insects. Also one of the birds with a cocky attitude and I like to sit and watch their unique courting displays. This will conclude my short bird series and I hope you loved it too.
It is such fun to learn more about the birds all over the world.
Good luck to the people living in parts of the USA & Canada where the snow fall is expected to be very high, keep warm! Thank you for comments and visits to the previous upload:

This looks like a very personable and durable bird. One of a great social order. Very nice and I'm disappointed your bird series is over. I really loved the new birds you showed me and your excellence in photographing them!

Great shots Piet. I can see a similarity between this, and our robin which is also in the thrush family. John
