Description
Had a trip out today to the little market town of Helmsley, about an hours drive from home. I adore the architecture, the stained glass work in old Churches. Shot taken in The Church Of All saints. I do not say this often, I like this shot. I hope you do to. I dedicate this work to Goha's Mother. Happy eventime. Hugs. Diane.

Hi Diane. Am here specifically looking at your images of windows and stained glass. I really like this. Looking at it, I can imagine that your shot would look different as the seasons and weather changes and the sun makes its' daily progress across the sky. Inspiring.

This is indeed spectacular. It looks like if your camera has captured something that normally isn't possible to catch with a camera. It looks like the real scenario, which the painting on the window depicts, suddenly stands out on the wall, for nobody to see but your camera exactly that instant. It's the real Jesus Christ, the real apostles, and real blue light coming in from the window above them - which isn't even there on the painting. The people in fact look more real on the wall than they do on the painted window. Almost a little creepy...but beautiful! This must be one shot in ten thousand. Aaawesome! Congratulations, Diane!

This reminds me of a shot I took on film many years ago of a stained glass window and how pleased I was to capture the color reflected on the stone. It was colors without the wonderfully detailed image that you have here, but I was tickled pink. This is beautifully captured! I love it!
